หน่วยปฏิบัติการวิจัยเภสัชจลนศาสตร์คลินิกและเภสัชพันธุศาสตร์ ดำเนินการวิจัยทางด้านเภสัชจลนศาสตร์คลินิกของยาต่าง ๆ ในผู้ป่วยเพื่อการปรับเปลี่ยนลักษณะการบริหารยาและขนาดยาให้เหมาะสมกับผู้ป่วยเหล่านั้น รวมทั้งดำเนินการวิจัยทางด้านความสัมพันธ์ของเภสัชจลนศาสตร์ เภสัชพันธุศาสตร์ และเภสัชพลศาสตร์ของยาในผู้ป่วยกลุ่มต่าง ๆ โจทย์วิจัยทั้งหมดมาจากปัญหาในการดูแลผู้ป่วยจริงที่เกิดขึ้นในโรงพยาบาล และผลของการวิจัยนั้นสามารถนำกลับไปใช้จริงได้ในทางคลินิก รวมถึงพัฒนาต่อยอดเป็นงานบริการตรวจวิเคราะห์ระดับยาและระดับตัวชี้วัดต่าง ๆ ทางชีวภาพ รวมถึงการตรวจวิเคราะห์ทางเภสัชพันธุศาสตร์ในผู้ป่วย

The research theme of the Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacogenomics Research Unit (CPPRU) includes, but is not limited, to the study of clinical pharmacokinetics of various kinds of drugs looking at the dosage regimen and therapeutic drug monitoring in patients and also the studies of the relationships between pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenomics. All the research arises from real clinical problems in patients’ treatment. Thus, the results are implemented into clinical practice and are developed further as a point of care services, for example, the measurements of drug and biomarker levels in biological fluids and the pharmacogenetic/ pharmacogenomics testing.
